Barack and Bill
October 30, 2008 at 6:17 pm | Posted in Politics | Leave a commentA sign of a good President is someone who surrounds himself with good people, people often smarter and more knowledgeable than the President himself. Bush has valued personal loyalty over knowledge, politics over policy, and short-term gain over our long-term future. For Obama to be accused of setting up a cult of personality is simply not true – just listen to Bill Clinton explaining how Obama dealt with the current financial crisis:
Meanwhile, John McCain suspends his campaign, threatens to fire some people, and claims the fundamentals of the economy are still strong. Erratic and irresponsible and very dangerous for our country.
Republicans – Self-Centered and Ruthless
October 24, 2008 at 10:22 pm | Posted in Politics | Leave a commentThe latest GOP desperation tactic has a Republican woman claiming that she was attacked by a black man who carved a “B” on her cheek:
Later, she confessed that she had made up the entire event and cut herself. The “B” can be read by the person doing the carving, instead of being read by another person. This reminds me of an article last year saying that those who write as shown above are self-centered and ruthless, like the party Ashley Todd represents.
Haircuts

I prefer the Democratic haircut:
In reality, Supercuts is too expensive for me and I get my hair done by Jose the Mexican for $7

iPhone Naysayers Eating Crow
October 22, 2008 at 7:44 pm | Posted in Macintosh, Technology | Leave a commentMacDailyNews has a nice listing of all the “pundits” and “analysts” who predicted that the iPhone would not sell 10 million units by the end of 2008, let alone make Apple into the #3 vendor of mobile phones behind Nokia and Samsung. While the latter two probably have over 20 models between them, Apple only sells two versions of the iPhone. So much for the advantage of choice in the mobile handset market…
Republicans Admit to Illegal Voting Scheme
October 21, 2008 at 10:16 pm | Posted in Politics | Leave a commentSince the Republicans don’t actually have an economic revival plan except to continue the discredited policy of the last eight years, they have resorted to slimy tactics, from slandering Barack Obama’s character to trying to disenfranchise homeless families in Michigan and other states. Today, the GOP actually admitted of their plans to deny people the vote – the evidence against them was bad enough that they decided to settle instead of dragging it through the courts past Election Day.

Financial Armageddon Jokes

The good news is that President Bush met with some small business owners at a soda shop in San Antonio, Texas, this week. The bad news is that the small business owners are now General Motors, General Electric, and Century 21.
