Target and Wal-Mart Whine

With Apple and other vendor selling movies online, both Target and Wal-Mart have decided to forego the principles of capitalism and instead promote socialist ideals like price equity and price fixing.

How can these companies that claim the virtues of competition ask for special “pricing treatment” and “equity between alternative means of delivery”? They’re hypocrites seeking to protect outdated business models.

A shrinkwrapped DVD cannot have the same cost as online movies. Either these brick and mortar stores lower their margins or find a way to make customers want to buy the extra content found in their stores. Asking other companies for a piece of their action simply makes them no better than Al Capone or the RIAA.
