Actions vs. Words

The French soccer star Zidane was kicked off the final game (of the World Cup and his career) for hitting a player (soccer-style since he didn’t use his arms). It was a disgraceful act, but the Italian player is not without blame.

Actions may speak louder than words, but the lack of microphones on the field doesn’t ensure anonymity. Jason Kottke has a translation of what was said by Materazzi before the Zidane Headbutt.

Honor over Victory. Viva la France.
