Konica Minolta Says Goodbye

Competition in the digital camera market has been reduced with the exit of Konica Minolta. Their cameras were attractive as a quirky third alternative to the dominant Canon and Nikon brands. I found that low-to-mid range Minolta cameras often had superior optics than comparable Canon and Nikon models.

I suppose I can try to find a good deal on a soon-to-be-discontinued DiMAGE Z6, or maybe an Olympus if they ever dropped their expensive and pseudo-proprietary xD digital film format.
