Iraq War Dead 2005

In the third year of the Iraq occupation, Nightline has once again broadcast a recitation of the war dead on Memorial Day, including two commercial interruptions. I have said before that I don’t mind commercials, just their placement within the show.

For the record, here are the companies that broadcast commercials during that time. Stars indicate repeat offenders from 2004.

  • Ford / Land Rover (automobiles) **
  • Universal / Miramax (entertainment)
  • Toyota / Lexus (automobiles) **
  • Men’s Wearhouse (clothing) **
  • Toyota / Lexus (automobiles) **
  • Canon (electronics)
  • Ford Lincoln-Mercury (automobiles) **

Note – I finally got around to viewing the show three weeks late.
