Graphing Calculator in Tiger 10.4

While viewing the Apple Expo 2004 Keynote, VP Phil Schiller was summarizing new features in Apple’s OS X 10.4 (Tiger). He mentioned the return of the Graphing Calculator popular among the education, science, and engineering markets; I don’t believe this was mentioned at this years’ WWDC.

I’m not sure who’s writing this new version, as the company that wrote the Classic version has not shown any intent of creating an OS X version.

  1. More infomation that Apple has bought a third-party calculator for this job:

Surely this must piss off the Konfabulator folks.

  2. Apparently, the current calculator in Panther (10.3) also has graphing capabilties, although they’re rather primitive compared to the Classic version. This page shows how to activate these hidden features in Panther and Tiger. They’re in the “Tips” section.
