Ronald Reagan died yesterday, and Americans, and especially Californians, will mourn his passing this week.

I voted for Reagan in 1988^H4 not because he was a Republican, but because he was someone that one can disagree with and still feel that he would give you a fair shake next time. His “Morning in America” was for everyone, even those who did not agree with his policies.Someone said it best:

He made you feel safe and secure regardless of whether you voted for him or not.


I wish we could say the same about the current President.

Below are some pictures I took when I visited the Reagan Library two years ago. The second picture may be his final resting place – where you can see the Pacific Ocean between the two hills on the right.

Rest in Peace, Mr. President. You’ve earned it.
