ISP w/o monthly fees

Having a cable modem connection is great, except when your cable provider does not have a backup method of accessing the Internet if your cable modem goes down for extended periods of time. In my case, that means outages lasting more than a minute. Fortunately, there is an ISP that seems to have a pay-as-you-go rate plan, without monthly charges:

As long as they’re in business, I have a backup plan to get on the ‘Net without monthly fees.

For those in the peanut gallery telling me to get DSL, I let you know that I can’t get DSL where I live. I’d have to go to $60/month satellite service before my pathetic excuse for a phone company (Verizon) lets me have DSL. God I hate that company.
